COVID-19 UPDATE NOVEMBER 18TH, 2020
As the weather turns colder and the holidays are approaching, our nation and our state are facing the highest positivity rates of COVID-19 we have experienced since the beginning of the pandemic. Governor Dewine has continued the order asking us not to gather in person with more than 10 individuals. Until the rate of infections have decreased and it is safe to gather in person again, the Administrative Board has determined that we will return to Phase 1.
This means that our building is effectively closed for all in person gatherings, but that does not mean that the church’s ministry has ceased! Especially as we enter this season in the life of the church, despite the circumstances, we can still experience the love, peace, joy, and hope of Advent. Each church family will be receiving an interactive Advent package at their residence. If you have not received yours by December 1st, please call the church office.
We invite and encourage you to join us for LIVE worship featuring our worship band and our chancel choir beginning this Sunday morning at 10:00 AM, and there are several ways for you to participate:
On Facebook live at “Lorain Lighthouse UMC”
Call in via Zoom (646) 876-9923, Meeting ID: 256 852 333, Passcode: 3015#
Or you can watch or listen any time later on our website,
The office will remain open one day per week on Wednesdays, and messages left on the church phone will be answered. The drive thru food pantry is still scheduled for November 19th and December 17th. For Christmas Eve, we will be offering both drive-in and online services. Please stay tuned for more details and continue to keep our entire church family in your prayers.
