NEXT GEN YOUTH

Children of all ages and abilities are valued at Lorain Lighthouse UMC. Our church is at its best when we experience the sounds and sights of kids in worship!

For children birth through pre-school, there is a privacy room in the back of the sanctuary, which allows parents or guardians to give their children a space to play or rest, while still participating in the Sunday morning worship service.

For children in Kindergarten through 4th grade, we provide a Sunday School program during the 9:00am worship service. To find out more about Sunday school, check out the "Children's Ministry" info below.

For students in 5th grade through 12th grade, we encourage our students to attend one of our Sunday morning worship services and join us on Sunday evenings for NEXT GEN YOUTH Group.  To find out more about information, check out the "Youth Ministry" section below.

Youth
Ministry

Lorain Lighthouse offers L.I.F.E Groups for grades 5-12. Students have the opportunity to gather with their peers and learn how to connect their faith with every day life.

Next Gen Youth meetings begin with a time of worship, after which we split into small groups for middle school and high school students. This allows for focused devotions and deeper conversations tailored to each age group. Each gathering is filled with snacks, laughter, games, and worship, helping us build lifelong friendships and create lasting memories. Join us as we grow in faith and fellowship together!

Sundays

10am-11:30 AM

Children's
Ministry

Under the direction of Tami Clark, we offer a vibrant Children's ministry.  On Sunday mornings at 9:00 am, our kids begin in a large group setting with songs and memory verses.  Then they are divided into smaller groups based on age, led by background-checked, adult volunteers, where they can dive in deeper to the Bible story for the day.

Throughout the year, our students also get to participate in a Back to School Breakfast and Promotion Sunday, an annual Christmas program performed for the entire church family, a Biblical Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt, and a larger than life Vacation Bible School held each summer.
